Find Your Land

The first step in building on your lot is to find your land. This might be a piece of property you own or an ideal location you’re considering. Our helpful land search tools in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Charlotte, Rocky Mount, and Raleigh/Durham in North Carolina can help get you started.

There are a number of important aspects about choosing and preparing land to build on. Do you have land that’s ready for construction or will it require clearing and development? Are utilities in place or will a well and septic system need to be installed? Is your ideal house going to fit?

Our experienced team can help you answer these questions, select the right property, and prepare it for building.

Choose Your Floor Plan

Caruso Homes offers a wide variety of home plans that will fit your needs and desires. We can help you narrow down your choice to find the perfect design for your land and lifestyle.

Take the first steps towards designing your perfect place by browsing our selection of floor plans for Maryland, PennsylvaniaNorth Carolina or Delaware.

We have something for everyone! Once you’ve found your perfect layout, we’ll take care of everything else!

Plan Your Options

This is where the magic happens. This meeting will be one of your most memorable moments, because it’s when you’ll shape how people view and use your space for decades to come!

Personalization is the key to a Caruso home, and each of our plans provide plenty of unique upgrades from room additions and structural options to appliances and technology. You can further enhance your new home’s style by choosing from our wide range of cabinets and countertops, floor coverings, exterior selections and hundreds of other design elements.

Determine The Cost To Build

Before you can apply for financing, it’s important to know the cost of building. Our team will work with you to create a construction estimate that includes all your options and upgrades. You’ll have an idea of how much your home will cost before starting the process, making it easier for you to find funding.

Lending institutions set appraisal criteria, so to determine if you’re approved from the get-go, we can pair you with a preferred lender who has access to our loan programs and can assist in getting you qualified.

Pre-Construction Meeting

When you meet with our construction team, they’ll review the plans and options for your new home. You’ll learn about key points in the building process so that you know what to expect along the way!

You’re going to get a lot of information at this meeting; like a timeline, what to expect in each phase of construction, and how we'll update you on progress.

Construction

Your Caruso Homes project manager will be your personal guide every step of the way. Your new home is inspected by both county inspectors and our own quality assurance team to make sure it’s built with care from start to finish! We’re always available for questions or concerns during construction — you can rest assured knowing your personal investment in one of our homes is in good hands.

Final Meetings

You’re finally here! You’ve spent months eagerly awaiting your new home, and we want to make sure it’s perfect for your big move.

Before move-in, you’ll go through a walk-through orientation with your project manager to get acquainted with your new home.

Then we’ll settle the final details of your new home. At this point, you will approve and sign final paperwork and learn about our warranty program that protects your home for years to come.
