Reorganization Home

Caruso Homes has made the decision to file a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. Our choice to seek reorganization arises directly out of the decline in the nation’s residential real estate market. Factors that  have negatively impacted the housing market include a troubled mortgage and credit industry, expanding home inventories, rising foreclosure rates, downward trending in home prices and reduced consumer confidence.

Caruso Homes has chosen to file under Chapter 11 so that we may continue to do business successfully in light of the current realities of the housing market. We intend to deliver homes under construction or contract, and will make all possible efforts to ensure that our customers remain unaffected by the reorganization. Our homebuyers, vendors and the communities in which we build and work expect the best from us. We expect no less from ourselves, and we will continue to hold ourselves to the highest standards during this process.
