Caruso Homes began modestly enough in 1985, building custom new homes for people unwilling to settle for average. We believed that every home buyer is unique and deserves exactly the new home they are looking for.

Caruso Homes has a long standing history of constructing homes in the Maryland Virginia corridor. We currently offer award winning single family homes is Prince George County, MD and an active adult community in Centerville, MD.
Can Caruso Homes build one of their homes on my lot?
Yes. Caruso Homes has an “on your lot” division which specializes in building Caruso Homes on your specific lot, saving you time and money.
How do I know what my new home will cost?
Each community sales manager has the skill set to assist you during your purchase. Schedule a cost estimate meeting to select options and the community sales manager will show you your overall sales price, taxes, closing costs, and monthly investment.
Do I need to sell my current home before purchasing a Caruso Home?
No. Caruso Homes has a program for people just like you. Buyers are able to take advantage of current pricing and incentives, while in the process of selling their existing home. This is a risk free program which protects the buyer, in case they are unable to sell their current home.
How long does it take to build a Caruso Home?
Our homes represent who we are; each Caruso Home is carefully crafted and takes approximately 4-6 months to complete depending on size and options. We also offer quick delivery homes; please visit our website for details.
How can I obtain financing?
Caruso Homes works closely with their preferred lender First Home Mortgage. Go to www.heatherdevoto.com and fill out a no risk online application.
Does Caruso Homes build energy efficiency homes?
Yes. All Caruso Homes are energy smart homes, which maximize energy efficiency while reducing our carbon foot print.

Does Caruso Homes Co-Op with Realtors?
Yes. Caruso Homes encourages strong Realtor relationships and has always offered a 3% Realtor Co-Op.
Can I select any house to go on any site?
In many cases yes, however certain home sites are designated for specific styles only. It is best to consult with your sales manager so they can explore the possibilities and help you determine which home site will work best for your needs.
Can I customize my home?
We recognize that your home reflects your individual taste. That is why we offer a wide variety of selections for cabinets, brick, flooring selections, appliances and more for you to choose from. We are also happy to talk to you about non-structural interior personalization.
Do you have your own financing company?
We work with Heather Devoto of First Home Mortgage to secure financing for our homebuyers. Closing cost assistance is provided when utilizing them for your loan.
Are there home site premiums?
Most of our sites do not have a premium associated with them; however there are a few unique sites that may have a premium associated with them due to size.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes we do. In fact our warranty exceeds the state guideline for the Major Structural Warranty. The state of Maryland only requires five years. We provide ten years of coverage in this area. In addition, you also get a two year warranty on the mechanical systems and a one year warranty for defects in materials and workmanship.
Do your communities have homeowners associations?
Yes, all of our communities have a homeowners association to protect your investment.
What happens if I cannot get financing after I purchase?
If you cannot get approved for financing during your initial loan application, you will not be obligated to purchase and we will refund your deposit. Once you have been approved you will need to keep your credit in good standing in order to settle.
What credit score do I need to purchase?
We can put you in touch with our loan officer who can give you more details about the programs and their criteria. Credit scores are based upon loan programs and amount.
What happens if I am already pre-qualified through another lender?
You will receive closing assistance for using our preferred lender. Since you have already spoken with another lender, this process for should very quick for you. Our lender can look at all the papers that you have submitted and get your loan started ASAP.
I am interested in one of your immediate delivery homes. How quick can I move in?
If the home is complete or within 30 days of completion we can get you settled as quick as the lender can process and settle the loan. If the home is still under construction, we can arrange the settlement for the time the home is complete.
Can I choose features and colors for one of the quick delivery homes?
That depends on the stage of construction. If we are still early in the process of construction, such as framing or foundation, there is a good chance that you may be able to select some cosmetic features and colors for the home.
